All About Me
I’m a word nerd. I love language and like word etymology. I hate the word “utilize.” “Use” is more efficient. I am also the other kind of nerd, but I do have social skills and some (little) sense of style. I like to think, learn, and teach. My friends say that I’m smart and funny. I know that I like people who are. I love to laugh, and people compliment me on my smile. I like all sorts of women, but I have a particular fondness for redheads.
I like being exposed to new cultures and new ways of thinking. I love live theater, but I can take or leave live music. I’ve never been a sports-guy. The way most guys are about sports, I am about movies. I see almost everything and can discuss them for hours. I tend to be easy-going and almost never get angry. I like games (chess, Scrabble, Taboo, Pictionary, cards, etc.).
I can be pretty spontaneous. Once while living in AZ, I visited friends in PA, and accidentally ended up applying for a job in VT. I flew home, packed my car and moved from summer in AZ to winter in VT.
I’m open to most things and passionate about a few. A friend once described me as “shruggy.”
